A group of Trump supporters gave their Progressive waitress quite the surprise –

Three white men wearing “Make America Great Again” hats walked into a known progressive restaurant in Washington, D.C. — but the ending might not be what you’d expect.

Rosalynd Harris, the group’s waitress at Busboys and Poets Monday morning, told the Washington Post that she had arrived at work still excited about the massive Women’s March that she attended over the weekend.

Both Harris and Jason White, one of the men she served Monday morning, said the unlikely group at the iconic social justice establishment seemed out of place. But they all talked, laughed and traded stories and compliments.

“I could tell they were from the south because they had their cowboy hats on, and I was like, ‘Oh, you’re not from the city,’” Harris told WUSA-TV.

And she was right — the group was in town from Texas to attend President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

When the men left, Harris, 25, received a huge surprise.

On the receipt, the men had written a kind note — as well as left a $450 tip on the $72.60 bill.

“We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people,” said the note. “Not race. Not gender. Just American. God Bless!”

Harris told the Post that the extra money came at a time when she could use it. A professional dancer, Harris has picked up extra shifts as a waitress in order to save money to move into a new apartment.

“You automatically assume if someone supports Trump that they have ideas about you, but [the customer was] more embracing than even some of my more liberal friends, and there was a real authenticity in our exchange,” Harris said.

But aside from the extra money, she also said the message her customers left really touched her.

“This definitely reshaped my perspective. Republican, Democrat, liberal are all subcategories to what we are experiencing,” she said. “It instills a lot of hope.”

The amount of the tip is a reference to Trump, the 45th president, the Post reported.

White told the Post that as a Christian, he doesn’t always agree with the controversial president, but he did support him from the beginning. The 37-year-old said he was moved by both the inauguration as well as the Women’s March.

“We have to think about being better Americans, we have to look into ourselves and how we treat one another,” told the Post. “If everyone did a little something to show respect … we can love one another.”
